Kazakhstan and Singapore intend to develop a new city in Almaty region

Today in the International Financial Center "Astana" Askar Mamin got acquainted with the updated master plan for the development of G4 City - a new city in Almaty region, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reports referring to the official website of the Prime Minister.

The metropolis will be located along the Almaty-Kapshagai highway and it will consist of four districts: Gate District - business and financial center, Golden District - educational and medical hub, Growing District - industrial and logistics hub, Green District - tourism and entertainment. The status of a special economic zone will be given for G4 City.   There are plans to build an international airport and open direct flights to Singapore. G4 City is expected to become a new economic hub in Central Asia and give a significant impetus to further growth of foreign investment in Kazakhstan's economy. By 2050, 2.2 million people will live in the metropolis and more than 1 million jobs will be created.
