King Felipe VI of Spain and his wife Letizia were confronted by Valencians during their visit to a flood-affected area, reports “Adyrna.”

The king had come to the region to show support for those impacted by the devastating floods. However, residents expressed their discontent, calling him a “murderer” and voicing frustrations over the authorities’ slow response during the emergency. After listening to the crowd, King Felipe VI urged calm and continued touring the streets.

Heavy rains hit eastern Spain at the end of October, causing severe flooding in Valencia province. According to recent reports, over 200 people have died due to the disaster. Notably, this is the worst flood Spain has experienced since 1973.
