All polling stations in Kazakhstan closed at 8:00 p.m.، according to the national portal ‘Adyrna.’

By 6:00 p.m.، 7,537,675 people in the country had voted in the referendum, with a turnout of 61.56 percent. The top three regions in terms of voter turnout were Kyzylorda Region - 79.87 percent, Turkestan Region - 74.23 percent, and East Kazakhstan Region - 72.58 percent.

Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vasilenko provided preliminary data on voting in foreign polling stations. According to him, 13 precinct commissions abroad had completed their work, with more than 7,358 Kazakhstani citizens voting.

Sixty polling stations outside Kazakhstan are still open, specifically in Central Asia, the Middle East, Europe, South America, and the United States. Referendum polling stations have opened in cities such as Washington, New York, San Francisco, Ottawa, and Brazil. An additional polling station in San Francisco opened at 8:00 p.m. Astana time.

The Central Referendum Commission will announce preliminary voter turnout data at 9:00 p.m.
