In Astana, the heads of 5 kindergartens and their assistants were found guilty of embezzling funds for feeding children. This was announced by the prosecutor's office of the city of Astana, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"Ex-kindergarten managers indicated the required amount of food according to the menu and submitted applications. However, in advance, they made a criminal conspiracy with the supplier and entered false information in the documents about the complete delivery. The initiator of the criminal scheme and the direct organizer of the criminal agreement was their accomplice (producer), who was previously convicted," Astana City Prosecutor's Office reported.
The prosecutor presented all the evidence proving the guilt of the convicts. The court issued a verdict.
"With the court verdict, probation was imposed on the head of the kindergarten for the entire term, imprisonment for a period of 2 to 3 years, forced labor, and lifetime ban on public service," the verdict reads.
In addition, their accomplice, who had an outstanding criminal record for similar crimes, was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
More than 35 millions tenge embezzled funds were returned to the budget.
The sentence entered into legal force.
