The first Kazakh woman to conquer Everest, Anar Burasheva, has successfully climbed Cho Oyu, which stands at 8,201 meters, reports Adyrna.

Cho Oyu is the sixth-highest mountain in the world, located near Everest and Pumori on the border of Tibet and Nepal’s Khumbu region. The name Cho Oyu literally translates to “Turquoise Goddess,” and locals consider the peak sacred.

For reference, on September 22, Kazakh mountaineer Anar Burasheva also summited Manaslu (8,163 m). She has previously stated her goal of conquering all 14 of the world’s eight-thousanders — a feat achieved by only about ten women globally.

“My dream is to inspire Kazakh girls to pursue bold goals,” said Anar.
