On the night of October 12 to 13 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, WBO, WBC, and IBF light heavyweight world champion Artur Beterbiev faced WBA titleholder Dmitry Bivol for the title of undisputed world champion, as reported by the “Adyrna” national portal.
The 12-round fight ended with Artur Beterbiev winning by judges’ decision (114:114, 115:113, 116:112). Artur Beterbiev became the first undisputed world champion from Russia and the first light heavyweight undisputed champion since the legendary Roy Jones Jr. Dmitry Bivol was the first opponent Beterbiev could not knock out.
