The third exit poll results of the nationwide referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan have been published, reports “Adyrna.”
The Eurasian Integration Institute conducted the survey on behalf of Zakon.kz. The poll covered 250 locations, with 159 in urban areas and 91 in rural areas, surveying a total of 30,546 citizens. The margin of error in the research findings does not exceed 1%. A total of six measurements were conducted.
According to the exit poll data, 71.8% of citizens supported the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan, while 28.2% voted against it.
It should be noted that the referendum on the nuclear power plant was held on October 6 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, as of 8:00 PM, 63.87% of eligible citizens, or 7,820,918 people, had voted.
The first exit poll results showed that 69.8% of the population supported the construction of the nuclear power plant. This survey was conducted by the “Astana - Comprehensive Social Research Institute” private foundation.
Meanwhile, according to the exit poll data from the Public Policy Institute of the AMANAT party, 72.3% of citizens supported the construction of the nuclear power plant, while 27.7% opposed it.
