An officer who served in one of the military units of the Ayagoz garrison under the Ministry of Defense died. This information was confirmed by the press service of the Ayagoz garrison, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to information, the tragedy happened on September 19.
"Off-duty, the body of an officer serving in one of the military units of the Ayagoz garrison was found in his house. According to preliminary information, the officer committed suicide. The details of the incident are being determined. A criminal case has been initiated on this fact," the report said.
The command of the ground forces expressed its condolences to the relatives of the serviceman.
