"On August 17, 2024, around 1:00 a.m.، a serious traffic accident occurred on the 40th kilometer of the Merki-Shu-Burylbaytal highway. The driver of the Toyota Alphard crossed into the opposite lane and collided with the Skoda Octavia of the police patrol. As a result of the incident, two patrol policemen, who were in a service vehicle and were providing road safety and guarding the highway, were killed at the scene of the incident. One of the deceased policemen was a father of 11 children. There were eight passengers in the Toyota Alphard. Four of them died on the spot, the driver and the other three passengers were admitted to the central district hospital with injuries of varying severity," the press service of the DIA of Zhambyl region reported.
Even if we say that "death does not come," Alphard accidents are caused by drivers falling asleep on the road, crossing the opposite lane, and driving at high speed. This statistic is also increasing every year. According to the editorial office of KazTAG, traffic accidents with Alphard have become more frequent.
