From August 3, fares on public transport will increase in Almaty

Starting from August 3, the price of public transport in Almaty will increase by 120 tenge, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
According to the decision of the administration, from August 3, the possibility of paying in cash in public transport will be removed. This measure was taken primarily to ensure the safety of transportation, as the bus driver should only drive the vehicle without worrying about collecting money.

The City Mobility Department noted that today more than 97% of passengers pay their fares without cash.

Several methods of cashless payment are available to residents and guests of the metropolis:

through a transport card that can be purchased at "Onay" branches and 115 customer service points; by mobile phone SMS; through the mobile application (for the convenience of foreign guests, the introduction of the interface in English is being worked out). Also, starting from August 3, the following price of travel tickets will be set:
