Within the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtileu with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubayev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Aleynik, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a number of bilateral meetings with Minister Bakhtier Saidov, as well as CIS General Secretary Sergey Lebedev. This was announced by gov.kz, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

In the course of negotiations with the heads of foreign policy departments, a comprehensive exchange of views was held on topical issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda.

In particular, at this meeting held in Samarkand, issues of cooperation in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed. Schedules of upcoming international events of high and very high level were reviewed in detail.

Current issues of Commonwealth development were discussed with the CIS General Secretary. At the CIS summit held in Astana last October, special attention was paid to the implementation of the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev.
