The head of the government, Alikhan Smayilov, made a statement regarding the price of fuel, the national portal "Adyrna" reported with reference to KazInformation.
The head of the government assessed the increase in the price of black gold in a political direction and he explained its own reasons. According to him, if the price does not rise, the country may face shortage of oil products.
"Yesterday, the Ministry of Energy announced that fuel prices will increase in the country. We had to make such a decision. That is, if we do not look at the price again, then soon we will face a shortage of oil products. Our diesel fuel consumption is 300 liters per person per year. And in Russia, this indicator is 225 liters, in Kyrgyzstan - 90 and in Uzbekistan - 44 liters. The state is taking appropriate measures to increase fuel production. In the last five years, the production of gasoline has increased by 70 percent, and diesel fuel by 33 percent," said Alikhan Smayilov at the beginning of a statement to media representatives after the Government meeting.
Alikhan Smaililov said that oil companies are working at a high rate of "mining" of black gold, and revealed that the wealth of the country is going abroad. About this:
"Nevertheless, the problem of shortage in the fuel market is not decreasing. Kazakhstan's cheap fuel goes to neighboring countries in different ways. In this way, domestic cheap fuel is working not in our interest, but in the economy of neighboring states," concluded the Prime Minister.
