The press service of the National Security Committee reported that the investigation of the criminal case against citizen U. on the fact of propaganda of terrorism in the institution of the penitentiary system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was completed.
"On January 5, 2023, by Court No. 2 of the city of Uralsk, he was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 256 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 4.5 years in prison. Since 2020, U. has been serving his sentence in a correctional institution, where he has been spreading radical ideology among prisoners," they said. in the KNB.
