An earthquake occurred near the Kazakhstan–Kyrgyzstan border, according to the national portal “Adyrna.”

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, the earthquake was recorded on July 16 at 06:27 Astana time by the seismic stations network of “NNTSNI” LLP.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located in Kyrgyzstan, approximately 379 kilometers southwest of Almaty.

However, it was noted that the tremors were not felt on the territory of Kazakhstan.

According to the Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.1.
