The 4th session of the Kazakh-Uzbek Business Forum and the Kazakh-Uzbek Business Council were held in the capital and agreements worth $ 5.9 billion were signed, the national portal Adyrna reports.

According to the data, there are 1,400 enterprises with Uzbek capital in Kazakhstan. On the eve of the forum in Turkestan region, entrepreneurs from both countries agreed on $ 600 million.

During the forum, representatives of ministries, departments, industry associations and businesses spoke about the prospects of cooperation and presented promising joint projects. The participants of the meeting discussed the practical aspects and mechanisms of state support for the proposed projects in the negotiations in "G2B" and "B2B" formats.

"Following the forum, trade agreements and bilateral agreements totaling $ 5.9 billion were signed," the ministry said.

The agreements will create 20-30 thousand new jobs in the next few years.

Following the meeting, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved the main action plan of the Kazakh-Uzbek Business Council for 2022.
