Minister of Health Alexey Tsoi told at a meeting of the Government about the formation of a two-month stock of medicines in the warehouses of a single distributor, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
The Minister informed that 8.2 billions tenge had been allocated for purchase of 44 types of anti-COVID-19 drugs from a single distributor to treat 60,000 patients a month in hospitals.
The amount of non-reducible funds will be purchased out of order in accordance with the forecast of the Ministry of Health for the creation of airbags in the event of the second wave of KVI.
The amount of the two-month stock is stored in the hubs of a single distributor.
As of October 15, 2020, 37 types of medicines worth 5.92 billions tenge were purchased.
"This will allow us to create a fund of drugs for the treatment of coronavirus infection in the event of a second wave and eliminate the need for planning and morbidity," said Tsoi.
As for the supply of medicines in medical organizations, since the beginning of the pandemic, the regions have declared an additional need for medicines from COVID-19 in the amount of 16.6 billions tenge.
A two-month national and regional fund of 91 types of medicines for hospitals and personal protective equipment was formed.
