On March 10, a 24-hour warning strike began at 13 of Germany’s largest airports, reports Adyrna.
The German trade union Ver.di called on airport operators, ground staff, and aviation security personnel to participate in the protest. The union is demanding an 8% salary increase, additional pay for heavy workloads, and extra leave for employees. However, employers have rejected these demands.
According to the German Airport Association (ADV), the strike is expected to cancel more than 3,400 flights, affecting approximately 510,000 passengers.
It is worth noting that there are 11 flights per week between Kazakhstan and Germany.
