From January 1, 2025, "Yandex.Taxi" and Indriver will not register right-hand drive vehicles on their platforms, reports the national portal "Adyrna" referring to KazTAG.
At the briefing, the Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev made a statement regarding the vehicles with the right side wheel in Kazakhstan.
"There are right-hand drive cars that have been converted to left-hand drive. They pose a threat to human health. Right-hand drive vehicles have a 13-digit VIN, while left-hand drive vehicles have a 17-digit VIN. "Internet providers will check and disable them from January 1," Karabayev said at the government meeting.
According to Karabayev, starting from January 1, 2025, the two companies will release the vehicles on the right side of the platform from service until the new year.
"From January 1, 2025, Yandex.Taxi and Indriver will not register right-hand drive vehicles on their platforms. "A relevant agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Transport and these two companies," he said.
