The number of tasks in the national unified test in Kazakhstan has decreased, reports the national portal "Adyrna" with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
"An important change is related to the reduction of the number of tasks in the mandatory subjects of "Reading Literacy" and "Mathematical Literacy" to five questions in 2024," the report says.
The number of subjects in UNT remains unchanged. Applicants of 2024 will pass the test on three compulsory subjects and two optional subjects.
It was also said that the number of questions on visual subjects will increase.
"This made it possible to increase the number of questions on visual subjects to 40. In addition, 5 tasks on specialized subjects corresponding to selection from the list have been added. These changes are aimed at increasing the quality of test tasks and their compliance with international standards for assessing functional literacy and critical thinking skills," the department believes.
