Israeli armed forces attacked al-Aqsa mosque

Dozens of Palestinians were injured during clashes with Israeli security forces at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

According to WAFA, Israeli armed forces stormed the mosque's prayer hall on Tuesday evening, throwing grenades, spraying poison gas and shooting rubber bullets at the Palestinians there.

According to the agency, the Israeli security forces, who stormed into the mosque, also used rifles.

Riyad al-Ashkar, the press secretary of the Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Committee, told reporters that more than 200 local residents were detained as a result of the Israeli raid on Al-Aqsa.

According to him, the detainees were taken to the Anata military base in Jerusalem.

- Some people injured in Al-Aqsa Mosque need urgent treatment. However, Israel is refusing to provide them with medical care or send them to hospitals, he said.

Palestinian media reported that protests broke out in a number of West Bank cities after the raid. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also responded to Israel's actions and strongly condemned the raid.

According to other information, in response to this, the Gaza Strip fired rockets at Israel. Israel responded with airstrikes.
