"There are different interpretations regarding the press card. The press card is designed to protect the interests of journalists. Of course, it is not necessary to get a press card, but whoever has a press card will have a special status. This opens up a number of opportunities, including access to organizations in the country, especially government organizations. In other words, there are certain benefits for journalists. Not all journalists need to get this card. After receiving a press card, he can continue his service with others. However, by getting a press card, they will have certain opportunities," said the chairman of the association.
Before that, Kemelbek Oishibaev noted that there were several issues that are being hotly discussed in relation to the draft law, and he told that it was still possible to make amendments to the draft law.
