A Kazakhstani tennis player has won a prestigious tournament held in Korea

Kazakhstani athlete Zangar Nurlanuly, who is ranked 25th in the world, has won the ITF Juniors J200 tournament held in Chuncheon, South Korea, reports Adyrna.

According to the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation, Nurlanuly entered the competition as the top-seeded player. In the final, he confidently defeated South Korea’s Min Huk Chon with a score of 6:3, 6:4. Throughout the tournament, the Kazakhstani player did not drop a single set against his opponents.

This victory marks Zangar Nurlanuly’s sixth singles title in the ITF Juniors series. Previously, he triumphed at the J100 Aizkraukle, J200 Shymkent, J100 Izmir, J30 Tsaghadzor, and J30 Trnava tournaments.

Next week, Zangar will compete in the ITF Juniors J300 tournament in Wonju, South Korea, which is considered the unofficial Asian Championship among players under 18.
