Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov commented on the upcoming UEFA Champions League match between Kairat and Real Madrid in Almaty, reports Adyrna National Portal.
“Right now, all our focus is on preparing for the home match. The stadium in Almaty is a UEFA Category 4 arena and meets the required standards. We will hold the game there,” the minister said in the Parliament’s corridors.
According to him, in line with UEFA’s quota, 4–5 thousand tourists may arrive for the match. He also noted that major events had previously been held at the stadium.
Regarding ticket prices, Yerbol Myrzabosynov said: “This is an agreement between the club and UEFA. The state has no right to interfere. All information will be published on the club’s official website.”
As a reminder, the Kairat vs. Real Madrid match will take place on September 30 in Almaty. Earlier, false information about ticket sales had circulated.
