Today, on July 28, President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev was welcomed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at Ankara’s Esenboga Airport. This was reported by the press service of Akorda, according to Adyrna.
“A guard of honor was lined up at the aircraft ramp to welcome the Head of State,” the statement read.
At the airport, the two presidents had a brief conversation.
“Thank you very much for your hospitality. It is a great honor for me that you came to the airport to welcome me. There are no issues between us. We are bound only by kinship and cooperation. Tomorrow will be an important day. The visit’s program is very comprehensive. I believe we will fully implement it,” said Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.
Tomorrow, on July 29, the two heads of state will hold negotiations and discuss prospects for further strengthening the Kazakh-Turkish strategic partnership.
