Students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Taldykorgan have developed a concept of a helmet for the visually impaired and the blind.

Victor Kohno and Maxim Surin concluded that with the help of an autonomous helmet it is possible to move around the city independently and safely, thus significantly simplifying the daily life of blind people.

Imagine for a second you were transposed into the dark world. - says one of the developers Victor. - You start listening to sounds, you start to feel things around you to understand where you are.

These methods are used by more than 36 million blind people worldwide. Every blind person is directly dependent on sensors, sound signals, personal assistants and on-screen tutorials.

In Kazakhstan alone, there are 160,000 visually impaired people, while in  Almaty  region "Society of the Blind" ~ 1,500 people are registered.

To solve this problem, Intellectual Students offers helmets to those who need to see.
