Pope Francis strongly criticized the attempt to burn the holy book of Muslims in Stockholm and he voiced his opposition, "Adyrna" national portal reports with reference to "Deutsche Welle".
Pope Francis condemned last week's Koran burning in the Swedish capital. In an interview with Al-Ittihad newspaper published on July 3, he called the burning of the Muslim holy book a "disgusting act".
"I am disgusted and angry by such actions. Believers of any book that people consider sacred should be treated with respect. Freedom of speech should never be used as an excuse to insult others," the author said.
