In the first half, Astana’s forward Marin Tomasov opened the scoring, giving the capital’s team hope for the championship title. However, in the second half, Kairat took control of the game, and Dastan Satpayev’s goal leveled the score. The result remained unchanged until the final whistle, determining the fate of the championship.
After 26 rounds, Kairat finished the season in first place with 59 points, while Astana took second place with 57 points, and Tobol, with 54 points, completed the top three.
