A helicopter belonging to the Ministry of Defense crashed in Aktobe, and a criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident, reports the national portal “Adyrna.”
“During a training flight on the territory of an airfield in the Aktobe region, a MI-8 helicopter made a hard landing, after which the fuel tanks caught fire. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this fact. Investigation authorities are currently working at the scene,” reported the Western Regional Military Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that the helicopter crashed today near the village of Khlebodarovka in the Martuk district. Of the three people on board, two were taken to the hospital, while one person died at the scene.
