68,000 travelers arrived via Astana and Almaty international airports, 529,000 tourists arrived by car and railway.
"The total expenditure of foreign tourists in our country: 15.5 million US dollars (7.5 billion tenge). The average expenditure of tourists from far abroad: 1500 US dollars. The contribution of tourists who came to the nomadic games to the economy of Kazakhstan: 625,000 US dollars," it is said. according to the information provided by the ministry.
And 5.7 billion tenge were spent from the state budget for the games held in Astana.
At first, the authorities planned to spend about 7 billion tenge, but the budget was reduced due to floods.
The largest number of tourists came from China (more than 33 thousand), India (more than 6 thousand) and Germany (more than 4 thousand).
As part of the 5th World Nomadic Games, 97 sets of medals from 21 sports were evaluated. The total prize fund at the 5th World Nomadic Games amounted to 253 million tenge.
