Kazakhstanis will pay a fine of 69 thousands tenge for swearing in public places. This was reported by the Deputy Head of the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azamat Kurimbaev, the national portal "Adyrna" wrote.
"In the new version, speaking obscene words in public places, insulting individuals, intentionally damaging buildings, constructions, residential premises, public places, property in vehicles and public places are considered mischief. At present, for committing such minor mischief, punishment is imposed in the form of 5 MCI, that is, a fine of 17,250 tenge or imprisonment for up to 15 days. According to the new edition, the fine will be 20 MCI (69,000 tenge), and the term of detention will be from 5 to 30 days," said Azamat Kurimbaev.
Amendments will enter into force from the beginning of March 2023.
