An earthquake struck northeastern Turkey, reports the “Adyrna” national portal.
The tremor occurred at 12:02 local time in Rize Province, with its epicenter in the Hemşin district. The quake had a magnitude of 4.9 and was recorded at a depth of 12.85 kilometers.
Additionally, a 5.0 magnitude earthquake was reported in the city of Elazığ, Turkey. According to information published on the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) website, this earthquake was recorded at approximately 17:04.
The quake occurred at a depth of 16.22 kilometers and was also felt in Diyarbakır.
