Kazakhstan has appointed the National Secretary of TRACECA, "Adyrna" correspondent reported.
"In accordance with Article 9 of the Basic Multilateral Agreement on International Transport on the Development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia Corridor dated September 8, 1998 and Article 6 of the Regulation on the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission approved by the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission dated October 13, 2010, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan decrees: Sapar Bektasov "To be appointed as the head (National Secretary) of the permanent representative office of the permanent secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission in the Republic of Kazakhstan," said the resolution.
It should be noted that Bektasov previously headed the transport policy department of the Ministry of Transport.
TRASECA (TRASECA - Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia) is a Eurasian transport corridor from Europe in the West-East direction, crossing the Black Sea and exiting to Central Asia through the Caucasus and Caspian seas.
