There is a shortage of natural gas in Uzbekistan. General Director of the Union of Oil Service Companies of Kazakhstan Nurlan Zhumagulov wrote about this on his Facebook page, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
The once gas-rich country is now dependent on Turkmenistan and Russian raw materials.

"Every year, the export of Uzbek gas to China is decreasing (Lukoil is forced to buy gas produced in Uzbekistan at the export price). Gazprom has long controlled many gas projects in Uzbekistan. And the contractors will deliver through Russian Enter Engineering. For example, while the operator of Uzbekistan's state program to increase the production of hydrocarbon raw materials in 2017-2021 was Gazprom, financing was carried out through Gazprombank," wrote Nurlan Zhumagulov, general director of the Union of Oil Service Companies of Kazakhstan.

According to him, the Uzbeks are now incapable of controlling the gas-chemical complex.

"The Uzbeks are now on the verge of losing control over the Shurtan gas-chemical complex. BMEZ, FMEZ, Gazli GHM lost control over supply of aviation fuel and refueling of aircraft in Tashkent and Tashkent region. In fact, it can be said that the gas industry has passed into the hands of Gazprom. According to the agreement on production sharing, Lukoil's share is only ¼ of all gas produced in Uzbekistan," said the head of the union.
