OpenAI has announced updates to its service usage policy. According to Adyrna, ChatGPT users are now prohibited from receiving advice in the fields of law and medicine.

The updates also include restrictions on providing advice related to education, housing, employment, financial services and lending, insurance, and “essential government services.” In addition, ChatGPT will no longer be allowed to offer guidance on immigration and national security issues.

“We require users to use our services appropriately, and any violation or failure to comply with our rules and safety measures may result in loss of access to our systems or other penalties,” the company stated.

From now on, ChatGPT will officially serve as an educational tool rather than a consultant or assistant.
