Amid the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, quarantine, border closures, suspension or closure of many enterprises, trade wars and sanctions, and the crisis, news appeared in the media that Kazakhstan topped the list of countries in which mechanical engineering grew in 2020 compared to previous years. amid a global downturn in the industry.

About the dual learning system
On September 12, 2019, within the framework of the VII Forum of Kazakhstan Mechanical Engineers in Nur-Sultan, a robotics competition was held among schoolchildren. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan with the support of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.
This is a very timely and demanded idea of the QMS: the production workers themselves paid attention and invited schoolchildren involved in robotics to such a competition. After all, responsible employers must discern young talents, give them the opportunity to grow and see them as their future competent specialists and managers.
The winning teams received substantial cash prizes for new starts. Such contests are in demand, they should be held on an ongoing basis, and talented children should be gathered from all over the country. Following the Russian example, it is also possible to hold all kinds of forums, olympiads on the topic of mechanical engineering among schoolchildren and students.
