The 2024 Olympic champion, Nazym Kyzaibay, won the final at the World Boxing Championships in Nis, Serbia, reports the Adyrna national portal.
She competed in the 48 kg weight category.
In the final match, the Kazakh boxer faced Russia’s Yulia Chumgalakova. After three rounds, Nazym secured a decisive victory.
Thus, Nazym Kyzaibay has won the World Championship final for the third time.
Previously, she claimed victory in 2014 and 2016.
The President of Kazakhstan congratulated Nazym Kyzaibay on becoming the first boxer in the country’s history to win the World Championship title three times.
