Kazakhstanis will have a half-month vacation in March, reports the national portal “Adyrna.”
In March 2025, Kazakhstanis will celebrate two public holidays: International Women’s Day on March 8 and Nauryz from March 21 to 23.
Since March 8 falls on a Saturday, the day off will be moved to Monday, March 10. As a result, people will have three consecutive days off from March 8 to 10.
Nauryz is traditionally celebrated from March 21 to 23. This year, since March 22 and 23 fall on Saturday and Sunday, additional days off have been set for March 24 and 25. Consequently, Kazakhstanis will have five days off from March 21 to 25.
Thus, those working a five-day workweek will have a total of 14 days off in March.
It is worth noting that on March 1, 2024, at 00:00, a unified time zone was established across the entire country.
