President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his condolences to the family and loved ones of the prominent writer and State Prize laureate Mukhtar Magauin, reports the national portal “Adyrna.”
“Mukhtar Mukhanuly dedicated his exemplary life to the sacred art of words and made a significant contribution to expanding the horizons of our national literature and history. He tirelessly worked towards elevating our spiritual heritage and documenting national historiography with his noble aspirations and unwavering determination. The works, historical research, and memoirs from the powerful pen of this People’s Writer have found a special place in the hearts of readers. Mukhtar Mukhanuly’s unique name will forever remain in the memory of our people. May he rest in peace and his soul dwell in paradise,” the telegram reads.
Today, writer Mukhtar Magauin passed away at the age of 84. The sad news was shared by his son, Edige Magauin, on social media.
