Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, spoke about the development of anti-cancer medicine for the first time in Kazakhstan. In addition, he showed it to journalists at a government briefing, "Adyrna" portal reported.
"Our famous biotechnologist Dos Sarbasov returned to Kazakhstan, he worked in the Anderson laboratory of the University of Texas. He has been leading the national laboratory of Nazarbayev University for several years. Currently, the biotechnologist is developing new drugs against oncology," said Sayasat Nurbek.
According to the official, 15 people are currently being treated with Kazakh drugs at the Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology.
"We immediately saved 4-5 years and moved to the third stage, soon our anti-cancer drug will be released," added the minister.
