The United States Department of the Treasury removed Bereke Bank from its list of sanctioned financial institutions. This was reported by Kazinform, "Adyrna" national portal wrote.
It is known that after the situation in Ukraine, the subsidiary bank of the Russian "Sberbank" in Kazakhstan was transferred to the national management holding "Baiterek" and changed its name to Bereke Bank. On the official website of JSC Ministry of Finance, it was announced that Bereke Bank was removed from the list of sanctioned financial organizations.
To be more specific, removed from the sanctioned SDN-list of the Foreign Assets Control Office.
Bereke Bank, removed from the sanction list, is presented in the document on the site under four different names: "Subsidiary bank of Russian Seberbank", SB SBERBANK, "Subsidiary joint-stock company of Russian Sberbank and TEXAKABANK.
Last year, the chairman of the board of the national management holding "Baiterek" Kanat Sharlapaev announced that the accumulated losses of "Bereke Bank" will not be compensated at the expense of the state.
