From January 1, 2023, according to the order of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, the salaries of kindergarden teachers, school teachers, college teachers, methodologists, additional education teachers increased by 25%. Thus, the salaries of teachers have now doubled, reports "Adyrna" reporter with reference to the Ministry of Education.
"Thanks to the support of the President of the country, teachers' salaries are increasing every year. In addition, additional payments were made to their salaries. These are additional fees for qualification category, master's degree, conducting subjects in English, checking notebooks, classroom management, updated content work and mentoring. Raising teachers' salaries is paying off. The best graduates of the university and holders of the "Golden label" began to enter the teaching profession. This will have a positive effect on children's education in the future," said the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gani Beysembayev.
Physical education teachers are also paid extra for conducting extra-curricular sports sessions. Since September of this year, additional payment in the amount of 150% of the official salary has been established for teachers recruited to regions with a shortage of personnel.
Teachers' salaries are calculated depending on the level of education, qualifications, work experience, workload, master's degree and other additional payments.
