President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on Independence Day and emphasized the importance of national unity and social stability, reports the Adyrna national portal.
According to the President, December 16 marks the day when the Kazakh people made a historic choice and definitively determined their path of development as a sovereign nation.
“Independence is the most precious value. By honoring the spirit of our ancestors and feeling our historic responsibility to future generations, we will remain faithful to this principle,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
The President noted that thanks to citizens’ unity and mutual support, as well as harmony and stability in society, Kazakhstan has achieved significant progress in strengthening its independence. He stressed that during the current period of global change, national unity and trust are especially important.
The Head of State also stated that the large-scale reforms being implemented are aimed at enhancing Kazakhstan’s global standing and competitiveness.
“Without deviating from our strategic course, we will build a Fair, Strong, Clean, and Safe Kazakhstan,” the President said.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished the people of Kazakhstan prosperity and success and expressed his hope that Independence will be everlasting.
