Women wearing the hijab can study and work in Afghanistan, the national portal Adyrna reports, citing RIA Novosti.

A spokesman for the Taliban, Suhail Shahin, told Fox News.

"Women's rights will be respected. There will be no problem for them to get an education or a job. But we (Afghanistan and the United States) should not try to change each other's culture. In our culture, they (women) can get an education, work, wear hijab, "Shahin said.

On September 1, Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, a Taliban spokesman in the Qatari capital, Doha, said women would be allowed to hold lower-ranking positions in government. According to her, only women who have not cooperated with the United States will have such an opportunity.
