President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed the law ratifying the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the regulation of the activities of the “Central Asia” International Industrial Cooperation Center, Adyrna reports.

The agreement aims to enhance economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, establish joint production facilities, attract investments, and develop new logistics chains. It also includes measures to simplify customs procedures and create favorable conditions for businesses.

Senate Deputy Alisher Satbaldiev emphasized that establishing the “Central Asia” International Industrial Cooperation Center is a strategic step to strengthen trade relations between the two countries.

“The project will help increase mutual trade volumes, open new opportunities for businesses, and attract investments into key economic sectors. This is not just an industrial zone but also an important platform for innovation, cooperation, and the development of new production capacities,” said Alisher Satbaldiev during an expanded meeting of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Defense, and Security.

The text of the law will be published in the press.
