On the night of December 15, an earthquake was recorded in the Almaty region, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The epicenter was located 88 kilometers north of Almaty city, within Kazakhstan’s territory.
The tremor occurred at 11:23 PM Astana time, with coordinates at 44.00°N latitude and 76.91°E longitude. The earthquake’s intensity was felt as 3 points in the city of Konaev and 2 points in Alatau city. No casualties or damages were reported.
