Demographic Growth: Kazakhstan’s Population Reaches 20,243,981 as of November 1, 2024

As reported by the “Adyrna” national portal, Kazakhstan’s population has grown by 210,139 people, reaching 20,243,981, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

The bureau’s data shows that 12,727,404 people live in urban areas, while 7,516,577 reside in rural regions.

Kazakhstan is home to 10,353,239 women and 9,890,742 men.

Over the first ten months of the year, 309,310 children were born, and 110,867 people passed away, resulting in a natural population increase of 198,443 people.

Migration trends also showed positive results. During the ten-month period, 22,955 people moved to Kazakhstan, while 11,259 left, creating a migration balance of +11,696 people.

“Compared to the same period in 2023, the number of people coming to Kazakhstan increased by 1,618, while those leaving decreased by 2,548,” the National Bureau of Statistics stated.

The most populous city in the country is Almaty, with a population of 2,280,296 residents.

Previously, it was reported that Kazakhstan’s population had grown by 223,218 people within one year.
