Kazakhstani athlete won a bronze medal at the Asian Championship in boxing for men and women, held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, reports “Adyrna” national portal.
The Sports Development Directorate announced the news.
Aigerim Sattibayeva was the first to represent Kazakhstan in the semifinals. Competing in the 48 kg weight category, she faced Uzbekistan’s Farzona Fozilova.
After a long break from sports, Aigerim, a mother of five and the wife of renowned boxer Olzhas Sattibayev, secured the bronze medal. This is her second bronze medal in her career at the Asian Championship.
