The Ministry of Emergency Situations has announced that on November 21, 2024, civil defense alarm sirens will be activated across all regions of Kazakhstan, reports the Adyrna national portal.
This measure is part of the nationwide “Winter-2024” command and staff exercises, scheduled to take place from November 21 to 22. The national headquarters for these exercises will be based in Kokshetau, Akmola region.
Such activities are conducted to test the readiness of the civil defense system and to ensure the rapid dissemination of information to the public during emergencies. The ministry emphasized that this is a planned drill and poses no threat to the population.
Residents are advised to remain calm during the sirens and to follow official updates on television and radio.
