Stanislav Cherchesov may leave his position as the head coach of Kazakhstan’s national football team, according to sports journalist Yermukhamed Maulen, who shared the news on his Telegram channel, as reported by the national portal “Adyrna.”
Maulen stated that the next two games will be crucial for Cherchesov. “The upcoming two matches are very important for Stanislav Cherchesov. If the results are too poor, he could likely be dismissed. The new president clearly wants to appoint a new head coach,” he said.
In the upcoming matches, Kazakhstan will face Austria at home and Norway away.
It’s worth noting that since Cherchesov took over as head coach of the Kazakhstan national team, he has not won any of the four matches. In their latest game, Kazakhstan lost to Slovenia with a narrow score of 0:1.
Previously, Cherchesov announced the squad that will participate in Kazakhstan’s decisive matches of the year.
