The government has urgently addressed the issue of wildfires in Pavlodar and Karaganda regions, reports the national portal “Adyrna.”
According to Minister of Emergency Situations Shyngys Arinov, additional forces have been mobilized from Abay, Akmola, and Astana to assist in extinguishing the wildfires. Additionally, aircraft from the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard were dispatched to the scene.
“On the Pavlodar side, 18 residents of Zheltau village were evacuated to an evacuation center in a neighboring village. Currently, the wildfire in Pavlodar region has been completely contained. We hope to achieve similar results today in Karaganda region,” Arinov stated.
He added that all necessary measures are being taken.
“Additionally, last night, a 500-hectare wildfire from the Russian side reached the Zhetikara district of Kostanay region and was promptly extinguished,” the minister noted.
